Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, One Health, Health and Environment, or a closely related field within Life Sciences.
  • Proficiency in environmental sampling, molecular biology, and statistical methods.
  • Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and creativity are essential.
  • Practical experience with sample collection and/or laboratory work.
  • Proficiency in statistical methods and the R programming language.
  • Background in microbiological and molecular biology techniques.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • Valid driving license required.

Job Description

  • Collect air samples and nasal swabs from workers at participating companies.
  • Coordinate laboratory work to identify biological agents in the collected samples.
  • Analyze data and disseminate findings through scientific publications and presentations.
  • Focus on sectors affected by transitions in agriculture, food and protein production.
