Fully Funded PhD Position in Biology – Plant Perception and Light Signals

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Applicants must meet general entry requirements and specific entry requirements for doctoral studies in Biology.
- A minimum of 120 credits in biology, including an independent project, and at least a further 30 credits on the second cycle is required.
- Proficiency in plant physiology, molecular biology, and plant photobiology is advantageous.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
Job Description:
The doctoral project involves:
i) Designing and performing factorial experiments to assess plant responses to UV and visible light at multiple levels (gene, protein, and metabolite).
ii) Assessing how UV in combination with other light qualities modulate the plant transcriptome.
iii) Identifying new molecular players involved in plant responses to UV and visible light.
