Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Experience with biological datasets and bioinformatics tools
- Knowledge of homology, phylogenetics, and 3D protein structure prediction algorithms like AlphaFold
- Proficiency in programming with languages such as Python and/or R
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency in the English language at C1 level is expected
Job Description:
As a PhD student in this position, the responsibilities include:
- Implementing state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools to analyze the evolutionary histories of eukaryotic proteins
- Interpreting large-scale evolutionary analyses in the context of eukaryotic cellular complexity and diversity
