Eligibility/Qualification
- General Entry Requirements:
- University degree equivalent to a European Master’s degree or 240 ECTS (60 ECTS at second-cycle level).
- Specific Entry Requirements:
- At least 90 credits in a relevant subject area.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in a statically typed programming language.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of biology.
- Experience in Rust, R, and Python.
- Familiarity with machine learning (preferably with PyTorch).
- Background in bioinformatics or web development.
- Basic mathematical knowledge.
Job Description
The PhD student will:
- Develop software for processing large-scale multiomic data.
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team across various fields including chemistry, microbiology, and data science.
- Participate in national activities under the Data-driven Life Science (DDLS) program.
The project emphasizes independent problem-solving, with flexibility in project scope tailored to the interests and skills of the candidate.
