Research Area

The research focuses on the extraction and isolation of bio-based polymers from renewable resources and waste streams. The goal is to develop sustainable processes for converting these materials into high-performance fibers and functional materials.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Physics, Material Science/Engineering
  • Experience with bio-based polymers and processing technologies (advantageous)
  • Proven ability to contribute to lab setup and management
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering or experience with fiber spinning equipment (advantageous)

Description

As a PhD researcher, you will:

  • Develop and optimize biopolymer-based fiber spinning processes (e.g., dry-jet wet spinning).
  • Assist in teaching and guiding students in lab sessions.
  • Conduct innovative research on sustainable fibers, contributing your ideas within the scope of bio-based materials.
