Eligibility/Qualification

CriteriaDetails
Degree RequiredMSc in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a related field.
Experience RequiredPrior experience in cancer biology is an asset.
Language ProficiencyFluent in academic English (spoken and written).
Residency RequirementMust not have resided in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.
PhD StatusCandidates must not possess a PhD degree.
Graduation TimelineMust hold a Master’s degree before program starts or by September 2026.

Job Description

  • Conduct innovative interdisciplinary research on early onset and hereditary breast cancer.
  • Collaborate with NKI research groups and within the HER-CARE network, including two secondments (6 months in Spain, 3 months in the Netherlands).
  • Analyze large-scale genomic, histological, and immunological data using advanced statistical methods and programming tools (e.g., R, Python).
  • Participate in training events and present research findings at conferences and workshops.
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and complete a PhD thesis.
