The project aims to engineer and develop CRISPR-Cas genome editing tools for pharmaceuticals and agriculture, with a focus on advancing gene therapy applications. The research involves molecular biology, enzymology, protein engineering, cell biology, and genome editing work.

Eligibility: The university is seeking enthusiastic and talented PhD candidates with an outstanding M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field. Essential qualifications include research experience in molecular biology, E. coli culturing, mammalian cell culture, analytical and creative thinking, high motivation, ability to work in an international team, and fluency in English. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with CRISPR-Cas, protein engineering, FACS, or next-generation sequencing.
