Description
The selected candidate will work on spectral submanifold (SSM) methods, aiming to further develop concepts in nonlinear model reduction. The research involves comparison of SSM-reduction with other methods such as Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) and neural network-based approaches. The position will be based at either the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering or the Department of Mathematics, depending on the candidate’s background and preferences.
