Research Area
This position will delve into the complex pathophysiological features of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, focusing particularly on neuroinflammation and synaptic loss using novel PET imaging biomarkers/tracers.
Eligibility/Qualification
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- General Eligibility:
- A Master’s degree or equivalent second-cycle qualifications.
- 240 credits, with at least 60 credits at the advanced level.
- Specific Eligibility:
- Proficiency in English (equivalent to English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school).
- Desired Skills:
- Strong background in Protein Biochemistry/Neuroscience/Translational Studies.
- Research experience in Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegenerative disorders.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques related to chemical assays, microscopy, and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Description
The chosen candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kumar and Associate Professor Taher Darreh-Shori. The role involves:
- Conducting experimental research.
- Day-to-day lab work, including ordering chemicals and assisting team members.
- Data compilation and manuscript writing.
- Participating in group meetings and presenting research outcomes at conferences.
