SuPhD Position in Electrical Engineering: KTH Royal Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the SweWIN center and prominent industry partners like ABB, Ericsson, and SAAB, is offering a fully funded PhD position in Electrical Engineering. The research will focus on ensuring functional safety and uptime of safety-critical automation systems controlled over wireless, cloud, and AI, with a goal to make significant theoretical breakthroughs and industrial advancements.

Designation: Doctoral Student in Electrical Engineering

Research Area:
The research will focus on interdisciplinary innovations in communication, computing, and control with generative artificial intelligence tools to crack the challenges associated with the use of 5G, cloud, and AI technologies in safety-critical applications.

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Eligibility/Qualification:
To be admitted to postgraduate education, the applicant must have a second cycle degree (e.g., master’s degree) or have completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, including at least 60 second-cycle higher education credits. In addition, proficiency in English equivalent to English B/6 is mandatory.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for independently pursuing the research work, collaborating with others, maintaining a professional approach, and analyzing and working with complex issues. The position is full-time, and the doctoral student will have the opportunity to perform certain tasks within their role, such as training and administration, to a limited extent.
