Eligibility/Qualification
- Excellent master’s degree in Chemistry, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong interest in research on electrochemical systems.
- Desirable experience in:
- Electrochemistry
- Electrocatalysis
- Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
- Additive manufacturing techniques (spray coating, doctor blade, slot-die coating)
- High motivation to complete a PhD within 3 years.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Independent working ability and teamwork skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Description
As a PhD candidate, your responsibilities will include:
- Synthesis and characterization of catalyst particles for electrochemical processes.
- Manufacturing catalyst layers using novel synthesized catalysts for application in electrochemical ion exchange membrane reactors, such as fuel cells or electrolysers.
- Characterization of membrane electrode assemblies before, during, and after operations.
- Participation in project meetings and coordination with internal and external project partners.
- Publication and presentation of research outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
