Nijmegen, Netherlands, with a 10-12 month secondment at CERN, Geneva.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in physics, preferably with experience in experimental subatomic physics.
  • Strong interest in programming (C++ and/or Python preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Highly curious, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in teams.

Job Description

  • Conduct fundamental research in experimental particle physics.
  • Perform data analysis and develop object reconstruction algorithms in the ATLAS experiment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Radboud University and Nikhef in Amsterdam.
  • Engage in teaching responsibilities approximately 10% of the time.
  • Use facilities and opportunities at CERN for research collaboration.
