Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a related field.
  • Experience in nanophotonics/plasmonics and single-molecule microscopy is advantageous.
  • A research-oriented attitude and motivation to develop teaching skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (C1 level).

Job Description

As a PhD candidate, you will:

  • Develop and optimize designs for plasmonic metasurfaces.
  • Perform colloidal assembly of metasurfaces and functionalize them with biomolecules such as DNA.
  • Experimentally quantify fluorescence enhancement mechanisms using single-molecule spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy.
  • Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative biosensing solutions.
