Eligibility/Qualification
- Excellent Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing research in electrochemistry.
- Previous experience with fuel cells, electrolyzers, or redox flow batteries is advantageous.
- High motivation to complete a PhD within 3 years.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Job Description
- Design, manufacture, and evaluate catalyst and transport layers for Direct Isopropanol Fuel Cells (DIFC).
- Optimize catalyst layer performance and durability (morphology, hydrophobicity, porosity).
- Conduct product analysis and analytical chemistry, investigating side reactions.
- Analyze system process and control in full technical cells (humidity, temperature, pressure drops, voltage drops).
- Supervise university students and participate in project meetings.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners and publish research findings.
