Eligibility/Qualification Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • Grade average of B or better
  • Proficiency in English
  • Preferred: Experience in molecular genetics wet-lab work, programming skills in R, and familiarity with bioinformatics
  • Advantageous: Prior experience in functional genomics

Job Description:

  • Conduct research to understand the molecular mechanisms controlling allometry and maturation in Atlantic salmon
  • Study reproductive traits for applications in aquaculture
  • Identify potential target genes for precision breeding of reproductive characteristics
