Eligibility/Qualification
General Admission Requirements:
- A second-cycle qualification (Master’s degree), OR
- At least 240 credits, of which at least 60 were awarded in the second cycle, OR
- Substantially equivalent knowledge acquired in Sweden or abroad.
Specific Admission Requirements:
- At least 60 second-cycle credits at an advanced level relevant to the research topic, OR
- An MSc in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Engineering Physics, or Engineering Mathematics.
Additional Requirements:
- Documented experience in one or more: Human-Computer Interaction, Visualization, Eye tracking, Reinforcement Learning, or Agentic Engineering.
- Good ability to work independently, formulate research problems, and cooperate.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with good knowledge of English.
- (Preferred) Experience with eye tracking/behavioral sensing, Deep/Reinforcement Learning, Human-AI alignment, visual analytics, and scientific publications.
Job Description (Work Duties)
- Devote primarily to the doctoral program, including research projects, third-cycle courses, seminars, and conferences.
- Participate in teaching and departmental work (maximum 20% of working hours).
- Collect and analyze multimodal behavioral datasets (e.g., gaze data, interaction logs).
- Develop computational behavior models and design/conduct controlled user experiments.
- Design and develop visualizations for data analysis.
- Collaborate with international research partners and network at conferences.
