Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in health sciences, social sciences, or other relevant fields of study
- Proficiency in using quantitative methods and epidemiological analyses
- Expertise in musculoskeletal disorders and mental health issues
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Admission to the doctoral programme in health science
- Strong academic performance, with a grade of B or better in the master’s thesis/second degree level subject, or relevant experience and scientific publications if grades are lower than B
- Experience with managing and analyzing registry data (advantageous)
- Relevant clinical experience from the health care services (advantageous)
Job Description:
The PhD candidate will be employed at the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Health Technology, collaborating with researchers at CIM, other research partners at OsloMet, and national and international partners. The focus will be on investigating the long-term effects of adverse life events on health care service utilization and exploring potential “buffer factors” such as resilience and social capital among adolescents. The project integrates data from the youth cohorts Young-HUNT1 and Young-HUNT3 with national health registries. Additionally, the position provides the opportunity to apply for a grant for an extended research stay abroad.
