Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in HCI, computer science, psychology, sociology, communication sciences, or a comparable subject
- Admission to a relevant doctoral program at the University of Salzburg
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
- Publication experience in HCI
- Teaching experience in academia
- Project experience
- Good knowledge of HCI foundations
Desired Personal Qualities:
- Ability to work in a team
- Determination
- Enthusiasm for academic teaching and research activities
- Strong communication skills
- Very good written and spoken English
Job Description:
- Scientific support in research and teaching in HCI & User Experience Research
- Areas of focus: Contextual Interaction Design, Future Interface Approaches & Technologies, Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, Next Generation User/Diversity Centered Methods & Tools, Automation Experience
- Independent research activities, including dissertation writing and publication
- Independent teaching for two hours per week
- Administrative tasks
Opportunities:
- Work in an interdisciplinary team in the HCI division
- Access to excellent infrastructure and various labs (prototyping, VR/AR, automotive, etc.)
- Support to complete a PhD in HCI
