Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, C++).
  • Background in robotics or mechatronics.
  • Excellent skills/experience in reinforcement learning, optimization, numerical optimization, and/or generative AI models.
  • Proficiency in English (French is a plus, but not required).

Description:

The selected candidate will design expressive motions for humanoid robots, focusing on communication effectiveness and human-likeness. The assignment involves:

  • Reviewing state-of-the-art techniques in motion generation.
  • Collaborating with engineers to implement and test behaviors on real robots.
  • Engaging in joint experiments with partners from the OSTENSIVE project.
  • Utilizing low-level control libraries and optimization techniques to refine motion generation.
