Description

The successful candidate will join a dynamic research team to investigate:

  • Mechanochemical radical generation during rock fracturing and its role in water splitting.
  • Characterization of radical centers in natural rock using techniques like electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).
  • Abiotic redox processes involving iron and transition metals in fractured rock systems.
  • The implications of these processes for microbial activity in subsurface environments and the potential for accumulating natural hydrogen as a clean energy source.

A combination of experimental simulations, magnetic resonance-based characterization, and geochemical analysis will be employed.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit an online application including:

  • A cover letter detailing motivation, experience, and qualifications.
  • A CV.
  • Up to three professional reference letters or contact information of up to three references.

Please note that only applications submitted through the online application portal will be considered. Applications via email or postal services will not be accepted.
