Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
  • Proven machine learning experience through projects, research, or competitions.
  • Practical experience with ML/DL libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in Bayesian Optimization (BO), Reinforcement Learning (RL), Causal Learning (CL), computer vision, or signal processing.
  • Experience with generative modeling techniques.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Description

The primary objective is to design, develop, and validate machine learning models to accelerate energy materials discovery in increasingly autonomous SDL environments. The candidate will utilize techniques such as Bayesian Optimization, Reinforcement Learning, and Causal Learning to enhance experimental planning and optimization.

Responsibilities

  1. Analyze experimental and simulation data to extract meaningful insights.
  2. Develop and apply ML models for experimental planning and optimization.
  3. Ensure model validation and explainability using interpretable techniques.
  4. Collaborate with consortium researchers and supervise junior researchers’ projects.
  5. Prepare research presentations, publications, and complete a PhD thesis within four years.
