Scholarship Description
The selected PhD candidate will contribute to research on advanced materials, including high strength steels, lightweight alloys, polymer composites, and nanocomposites. The focus will be on understanding the impact-dynamic mechanical properties of these materials to improve predictions of high-speed forming processes, crashworthiness, and impact incidents. The research involves using advanced measurement devices and methodologies unique to DyMaLab, aiming to develop more efficient testing methodologies.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or civil engineering.
- Strong focus on mechanical behavior of materials in previous studies.
- Keen interest in materials and their properties.
- Familiarity with materials testing and advanced measuring equipment.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python programming, and preferably finite element modeling.
- Independent, problem-solving, organized, and result-oriented attitude.
- Good social skills, flexibility, and critical thinking.
- Good knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
