Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in a highly quantitative discipline (Physics/Mathematics/Computational/Systems Biology or related field)
- Affinity with interdisciplinary research
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Good programming skills
- Highly motivated with strong analytical, writing, and presenting skills
Job Description: As a PhD candidate, you will:
- Create and analyze mathematical models of antibiotic resistance evolution and microbial communities
- Combine existing methods and design new approaches when necessary
- Utilize data from ongoing collaborations on antibiotic resistance evolution in laboratory communities
- Develop models and methods for the antibiotic resistance system
- Apply developed methods and techniques in various settings
- Complete and defend a PhD thesis within four years
- Plan and perform scientific data analysis and experiments independently
- Collaborate with international and local researchers
- Present results at scientific meetings
- Assist in teaching undergraduates and Master’s students
- Co-supervise MSc/BSc students
