Research Area

The research will focus on the automated design and evaluation of patient-specific implants and surgical tools for hand and wrist applications, utilizing state-of-the-art design workflows and AI-based solutions.

Location

TU Delft, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Delft, Netherlands.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • MSc degree in Biomechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in scientific programming (e.g., Python, Matlab).
  • Familiarity with collecting experimental data and finite-element analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of AI-driven models.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred (but not required)

  • Skills in computer-aided design.
  • Experience in medical image analysis and data processing.
  • Proficiency in Dutch.

Description

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Drs. Nazli Tümer and Jie Zhou, along with Prof. Amir Zadpoor, in a multidisciplinary research team.
