Research Area
The research will focus on the automated design and evaluation of patient-specific implants and surgical tools for hand and wrist applications, utilizing state-of-the-art design workflows and AI-based solutions.
Location
TU Delft, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Delft, Netherlands.
Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in Biomechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in scientific programming (e.g., Python, Matlab).
- Familiarity with collecting experimental data and finite-element analysis.
- Basic knowledge of AI-driven models.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred (but not required)
- Skills in computer-aided design.
- Experience in medical image analysis and data processing.
- Proficiency in Dutch.
Description
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Drs. Nazli Tümer and Jie Zhou, along with Prof. Amir Zadpoor, in a multidisciplinary research team.
