Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree or equivalent in bioinformatics, computational biology, systems biology, biology, or related fields.
- Experience in structural and functional protein annotation.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux-based operating systems.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis.
- Strong command of scientific English (written and spoken); knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
- Willingness to spend several months abroad for secondments; must comply with international mobility conditions.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Integrate multi-omics data and improve workflows.
- Develop machine learning algorithms for identifying proteins and antimicrobial peptides.
- Conduct experimental studies within the METAMIC project, including metagenomic sequencing of field samples.
- Apply improved workflows in real-world studies.
