Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Engineering Technology, Bioscience Engineering, Biology, or related field (or expected graduation soon).
- Strong interest in microbiology, microbial ecology, and applied bioinformatics.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Experience in experimental research is an asset.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and programming (Linux environment) is a plus.
Job Description
- Conduct innovative research into microbial ecology and applied bioinformatics related to barrel-aged sour beers.
- Utilize -omics tools to analyze data generated throughout the research.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary international research team and engage in outreach to companies and potential users.
- Supervise students and assist in teaching activities.
- Publish interim results in scientific articles and present findings at conferences.
