Research Area
The research project investigates bi-directional communication between the nervous system and the microbiota in the skin of zebrafish, specifically examining chemosensory cells’ roles in detecting and regulating microbiota and their effects on host behavior.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed second-cycle degree or equivalent (minimum 240 ECTS credits), including at least 60 ECTS at second-cycle level.
- At least 90 ECTS credits in molecular biology, including courses in chemistry, cell and molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology.
- Courses equivalent to 30 credits at the advanced level in the subject area of molecular biology, including an independent project of at least 15 credits.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in molecular biology; experience with zebrafish is advantageous.
Description
The PhD student position is temporary for four years, focusing on personal education and contributing to various departmental activities. Candidates will gain access to numerous scientific and technical expertise, enabling them to train as first-class researchers.
