Research Area

The research project focuses on the fabrication, characterization and development of stability protocols for Pb-free Halide Perovskite Solar Cells for Indoor Applications. Specific objectives include developing protocols for indoor stability, studying light sources relevant to indoor PVs, and examining performance under constant illumination.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, electronics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience: Familiarity with thin film or solar cell fabrication by solution processing methods is preferred.
  • Language Skills: High proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Personal Qualities: Highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and time management capabilities.

Job Description

  • Fabrication and Development: Fabricate and characterize Pb-free Halide Perovskite Solar Cells. Develop testing protocols for indoor stability based on industry standards.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct studies on spectral invariant light sources for indoor PV applications, examining performance characteristics such as degradation mechanisms.
  • Reporting: Prepare periodic reports and scientific manuscripts. Present research outcomes at workshops and conferences.
  • Collaboration: Engage in secondments at partner institutions to enhance research experience.
