PhD Position in Nanohybrid Research: The Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) at the University of Valencia, Spain, is inviting applications for a fully-funded PhD position in the (Photo)Chemistry Reactivity Group (PRG). The project focuses on developing photoactive nanohybrids and nanoheterostructures for light-driven applications. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
- Admission to a PhD programme at the University of Valencia at the time of hiring.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Sustainable Chemistry or equivalent.
- English proficiency (B1 level certificate or equivalent).
- Experience in:
- Synthesis of organic ligands.
- Preparation of photoactive materials.
- Characterization of photoactive materials.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Join the (Photo)Chemistry Reactivity Group (PRG) at ICMol.
- Work on the project titled Selectively matching nanohybrids for light-driven applications funded by the Prometeu Programme (CIPROM/2022/057).
- Design and develop nanohybrids and nanoheterostructures using photoactive organic-inorganic materials.
- Characterize materials’ structural and photophysical properties using state-of-the-art optical spectroscopy techniques.
- Engage in a dynamic and international research environment, gaining expertise in advanced materials science and photoactive nanosystems.
