Description
The selected candidate will investigate the influence of long-chain carbohydrates (polysaccharides) produced by microorganisms on ice formation in clouds. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing chromatographic analysis methods to characterize ice-active compounds.
- Conducting field campaigns for sample collection.
- Performing and interpreting chemical laboratory analyses and microphysical freezing experiments.
- Presenting results at international conferences and preparing publications for peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborating with national and international project partners.
The position is expected to contribute significantly to understanding the biosphere-atmosphere interactions while offering a dynamic and interdisciplinary working environment.
