Job Description:
PhD Position in Sustainable Photocatalysis for Organic Synthesis
The selected PhD student will work directly under the supervision of Dr. Fabio Julia and engage in the following activities:
- Design and development of catalytic methodologies for organic synthesis.
- Exploration of the scope of discovered transformations.
- Mechanistic studies supported by various techniques.
- Preparation of organic substrates, inorganic complexes, ligands, and products.
- Photophysical studies and characterization of excited states in metal complexes.
- Preparation of reports, scientific manuscripts, and literature searches.
- Participation in one-to-one and group meetings.
- Attendance at scientific meetings and conferences.
- Possible collaborations with academic groups or the pharmaceutical industry.
This research program addresses global challenges in social, academic, and industrial contexts, broadening the student’s career prospects.
