Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed MSc degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Climate Physics, Oceanography, or related disciplines.
- Experience or strong interest in paleoclimate/paleoceanography.
- Skills in micropaleontology or affinity for microscope work.
- Experience in a laboratory setting.
- Affinity with coding and programming or willingness to learn.
- Ability to plan and organize work independently and lead project direction.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
Job Description
The PhD candidate will:
- Generate proxy data reflecting surface ocean changes.
- Simulate sea level changes using comprehensive ice sheet models.
- Investigate the timing and causes of rapid sea level changes during the Eemian.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research environment focused on Earth system feedback and climate change.
- Assist the BSc and MSc teaching programs of the Earth Sciences department.
