Multi-Modal Characterization of Interface Loss Mechanisms in Perovskite Solar Cells | Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany |
Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Physical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Very good grades in both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees are mandatory.
- Knowledge of semiconductor and solar cell physics is required.
- Familiarity with solar cell characterization methods and/or drift-diffusion simulations is useful, but not mandatory.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Description
The project focuses on utilizing perovskite devices with insulating interfaces to isolate loss mechanisms at each interface. Key tasks include:
- Performing optoelectronic measurements in the time and frequency domain.
- Conducting transient photoluminescence measurements on perovskite films and devices.
- Using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) to determine band offsets between perovskite and transport layers.
- Analyzing data with analytical models and drift-diffusion simulations to determine key parameters of interface loss mechanisms.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their applications through the dedicated application portal linked on the Forschungszentrum Jülich website. Applications must not be submitted via email due to technical reasons.
Last Date to Apply
The position will remain open until filled, therefore applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
