General Eligibility– Master’s degree or equivalent (second-cycle/advanced qualification) or 240 credits (60 at the advanced level).
Specific Eligibility– Proficient in English equivalent to English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.
Skills and Personal Attributes– Interest and experience in antimicrobial resistance, bacterial culture, high-throughput screenings, phage biology techniques, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
Meritorious Skills– Experience in BSL3 laboratories, molecular biology techniques, Python programming, and comparative genomics are advantageous.

Job Description

The doctoral student will engage in hands-on experiences in mass-spectrometry based proteomics, functional and comparative genomics, and computational systems biology. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research on phage-antibiotic synergy.
  • Participating in MTC’s research seminars and educational initiatives.
  • Enrolling in relevant PhD courses offered by Karolinska Institutet.
