Job Description:

PhD Thesis Position in Plant Bio-factories at the National Center of Biotechnology – CSIC

The project aims to establish a plant bio-factory platform for the sustainable production of terpenoids, a significant family of plant secondary metabolites used in medicine, fragrance, and flavor industries. As a proof of concept, the project will produce an insect repellent from these plants as an alternative, environmentally-friendly source, replacing the current chemical synthesis process.
