PhD Position in Plant Ecology: The State Museum of Natural History Stuttgart (SMNS) invites applications for a PhD position in Plant Ecology within the Plant Functional Ecology research group. Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • M.Sc./Diploma in biology, ecology, or a related field by project start
  • Experience in conducting experimental studies with plants
  • Proficiency in field and laboratory work
  • Statistical and analytical skills (experience with R is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of English; German is a plus
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Description

The successful candidate will conduct their own research project that involves common garden experiments and analyses of ecological data related to carbon traits and energy budgets. The position offers an interdisciplinary and collaborative work environment, access to international conferences, and robust academic supervision.
