Research Area

The focus of this PhD project is on understanding how transposable element-derived regulatory elements contribute to gene expression divergence and adaptive responses in conifers.

Eligibility/Qualifications

  • A completed degree equivalent to 240 ECTS credits, including at least 60 ECTS at the advanced level.
  • 90 ECTS in relevant subjects, with at least 15 ECTS directly related to the research topic.
  • Knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Develop and implement experimental methods for functional validation of regulatory elements in conifers.
  • Conduct molecular biology experiments, including nucleic acid extraction and sequencing.
  • Generate and analyze genome-wide datasets.
  • Publish and present research findings.
