Description:
Steel is widely used in sheet form across various applications. Key processes that affect usability include annealing (which enhances strength but may induce undesired yield point phenomena) and temper rolling (aimed at eliminating such phenomena). This PhD project seeks to address the challenges of accurately predicting roll force during temper rolling by developing an innovative material model, focused on dislocation mobility and density. The model’s integration into temper rolling simulations will enhance predictions of roll force and microstructural outcomes, ultimately improving process efficiency and reducing scrap rates.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit their applications before the deadline. Applications can be submitted online using the “Apply now” button, including a CV and a motivation letter.
