Eligibility/Qualification

  • Preferably a Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
  • Must not have resided in Sweden for more than 12 months in the last 3 years (Mobility requirement).
  • Candidates should be in the first four years of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree (Early-stage researcher requirement).
  • Experience in programming, machine learning, and AI tools is required.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with minimum TOEFL scores: 550 (paper), 213 (CBT), or 79 (iBT).

Job Description

  • Full-time doctoral studies for four years lead to a doctoral degree.
  • Candidates will develop AI tools for image analysis, microscopy, and active learning.
  • Role may include departmental duties (up to 20% of full-time), involving teaching, research, and administration.
  • The project mandates exclusive work for the SPM4.0 doctoral network for 36 months.
