Eligibility/Qualification– Master’s degree in (mechanical) engineering, physics, materials science, or equivalent with distinction.
– Strong background in solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and micromanufacturing.
– Familiarity with Matlab/Python, CAD software, FEM analysis, and experimental validation.
– Proficient in English (oral and written).
– Creative, ambitious, good problem-solving skills, and a team player.

Job Description

The PhD candidate will focus on:

  • Mimicking cilia movements using soft robotic technology.
  • Developing compact, self-contained artificial cilia systems operated via a single pressure supply.
  • Engaging in both theoretical design, numerical optimization, and experimental validation of prototypes.
