Eligibility/Qualification
- A degree in a theoretical field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, or control engineering, or a related discipline.
- Capability to apply methods from the aforementioned fields to study dynamical systems and stochastic processes.
- Familiarity with continuous-time Markov chains, stochastic differential equations, or stochastic chemical kinetics is advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates should be willing to deepen their understanding of biological applications throughout the project.

Job Description
The PhD role will involve:
- Developing stochastic models of plasmid copy number fluctuations within single cells.
- Coupling these models to the dynamics of growing populations and microbial consortia.
