Job Description:
The PhD candidate will work on a project aimed at understanding the structural and functional determinants of solute transport through transmembrane protein transporters. The research will involve the use of state-of-the-art electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) at the Basque Resource for Electron Microscopy (BREM), which includes advanced equipment like the Krios G4 and Gatan BioContinuum Imaging Filter. The lab provides comprehensive training in membrane protein biochemistry, biophysical characterization, and cryo-EM, equipping the candidate with the skills necessary to advance our understanding of solute homeostasis and related pathologies.
