Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or Industrial Biotechnology.
  • Good communication skills in English and ability to work in a team.
  • Preferably a solid background in:
  • Chemistry and spectrometric analyses
  • Development of protocols from scratch
  • Working under atmosphere control (e.g., glove boxes)

Description

The PhD student will:

  • Develop high-throughput assays, often using fluorescence-based biosensors.
  • Characterize assay performance using leading strains.
  • Execute large-scale screening campaigns involving up to 1 million variant strains.
  • Collaborate and report on BPL results during consortium meetings.
  • Co-coordinate tasks with all partners in the HydroCow project.
