Eligibility / Qualification

  • Education: Recently completed a Master’s (MSc) degree.
  • Background: Strong foundation in molecular biology, cellular biology, stem cell biology, or developmental biology.
  • Skills: Bioinformatics skills are considered a plus but not strictly required.
  • Attributes: Highly motivated, talented, hard-working, and passionate about academic research and science.
  • Language: Fluency in English (the working language of the international lab environment).

Job Description

As a PhD candidate in the Artegiani & Hendriks group, you will:

  • Work on the development and optimization of human brain organoid models.
  • Investigate the fundamental principles underlying human brain development and how signaling molecules influence these processes.
  • Use state-of-the-art technologies, such as CRISPR-Cas9 genetic editing and advanced imaging tools, to model diseases and understand pathogenesis.
  • Collaborate with an international team of researchers dedicated to advancing pediatric cancer research and developmental biology.
