Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Requirements:

  • MEng in Electronic/Computer Engineering or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline
  • Strong programming skills and ability to develop robust software solutions
  • Proficiency in web application development (JavaScript and modern frameworks)
  • Experience with Digital Twin technologies, 3D Visualisation/Simulation, or Virtual/Augmented Reality

Desirable Skills:

  • Teamwork and proactive work ethic
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Design, development, and testing expertise
  • Ability to produce technical documentation
  • Experience in diagnostics, bug-fixing, and reporting
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Creative and innovative thinking

Job Description

The selected PhD fellow will:

  • Design and develop information models for representing diverse datasets in a 3D spatial environment
  • Create advanced data integration, analysis, and machine learning solutions for urban digital twins
  • Implement effective visualisation and simulation tools for sustainable city planning
  • Contribute to the Multiroofs Project by developing strategies, digital tools, and capacity-building resources for multifunctional rooftop usage across North-West Europe
  • Collaborate in a research team, meet project deadlines, and publish in peer-reviewed venues
