Eligibility/Qualification
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must have:
- A completed master’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or similar fields.
- Very good knowledge of German and English (for teaching in both languages).
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in pursuing a dissertation in vehicle safety with a focus on integral vehicle safety and autonomous driving.
- Good programming skills in Python.
- Enjoyment of independent problem-solving and working in an interdisciplinary team.
- Teaching enthusiasm and willingness to undergo further training in university didactics.
- Experience in the field of vehicle safety (at least one of the following):
- Knowledge of data analysis and modeling techniques (statistical analysis, machine learning).
- Understanding of human body model simulations.
- Familiarity with crash simulations in LS-Dyna.
- Understanding of pre-crash simulation scenarios (agent simulation).
Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conceptualization and implementation of vehicle safety assessments based on simulations.
- Development of tools for the simulation and evaluation of results.
- Support in various research projects, planning, executing tests, and analyzing results.
- Preparation of scientific publications and a dissertation.
- Independent design and delivery of laboratory exercises on vehicle safety.
- Assistance in lectures and examination corrections.
- Supporting research project applications and administrative activities.
