Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed university degree in Biology, Molecular Medicine, or a related bioscience field (Master’s or equivalent)
- Knowledge of cell biological, molecular biological, and immunological methods (e.g., DNA isolation, quantitative PCR, sequencing)
- Experience with viral work and sterile cell culture techniques
- FELASA B certificate and experience with mouse handling
- Good English language skills in both written and spoken formats
- Team-oriented with strong motivation and self-driven work ethics
Description:
The PhD project focuses on CAR-T therapy for cytomegalovirus infections using a murine cytomegalovirus model. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting independent research in virology, especially herpesviruses
- Working with recombinant pathogens in laboratory safety levels 1 and 2, including animal experiments
- Collaborating in an interdisciplinary team to evaluate new therapeutic options
- Publishing and presenting research results in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences
