Eligibility/Qualification
Requirement | Details |

Degree | Master’s in environmental engineering, bioscience engineering, chemical engineering, marine science, environmental science, environmental technology, or equivalent. |
Interest | Strong interest in scientific research and pursuing a doctoral degree. |
Skills | Affinity with sustainability analysis methods, complex dataset handling, excellent academic writing, and presentation skills. |
Language | Very good command of English (written and spoken). |
Additional Assets | Experience with LCA software (e.g., openLCA, SimaPro), familiarity with marine ecosystem modeling. |
Description
The PhD student will contribute to the Horizon Europe project COMPASS and the Belgian project DECOMPASS, which focus on developing a holistic decision-support platform for assessing the sustainability of offshore wind farms across their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include conducting environmental LCA, concluding on decommissioning scenarios, and collaborating with national and international partners.
