Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in biogeochemistry or a related field
- Hands-on experience with stable isotope probing techniques and mass spectrometry (highly desirable)
- Strong interest in molecular biology, microbiology, and oceanography
- Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary environment
- Willingness to participate in sea-going expeditions
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills
Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in:
- Investigating nanoplastic degradation pathways in marine environments.
- Participating in ocean-going expeditions and applying newly developed in situ and high-pressure incubation techniques.
- Collaborating with postdoctoral researchers and peers to characterize degradation pathways and assess ecosystem impacts.
