The interdisciplinary Mucosal Immunology lab, led by Prof. Emma Slack, is seeking an outstanding candidate to contribute to collaborative research projects and lead their own research with a high degree of autonomy.

Location: ETH Zurich, Hönggerberg Campus, Zurich

Eligibility/Qualification:
We are seeking an outstanding candidate with high intrinsic motivation and passion for driving interdisciplinary research. Requirements include experience in at least two of the following areas: mouse models/animal handling, tissue/organoid culture work, (anaerobic) bacterial culture, microbiology, bioengineering (hydrogels, microfluidics), and metabolism and/or mucosal immunology. Additional scientific research and project management experience will be highly beneficial.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will work within the Hausmann group, utilizing state-of-the-art in vivo and in vitro models, omics techniques, and bioengineering approaches to characterize the impact of commensal microbes on the intestinal epithelium and dissect the underlying molecular mechanisms in mouse and human. The position offers regular group and 1-1 meetings, mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to collaborative research projects in- and outside the team.
